What does the DDCPP do?

The DDCPP aims to provide members of the public with information that will help to reduce the chances of people becoming victims of crime. Very often simple measures, such as remembering not to leave valuables in an unattended car, can make a big difference.

By letting people know what types of crime are occurring in their area, and what steps they can take to protect themselves and their property, the chances of people becoming victims of crime are greatly reduced.

We are lucky enough to live in an area of the country where crime levels are relatively low, and effective communication of this can also help to reduce fear of crime.

Why does the DDCPP need a website?

Traditionally we have relied on distribution of publications in the form of booklets or leaflets. Although this method still has its place it can result in delays in getting information to the public, the purpose of this website is to help in the distribution of that information.

We have also provided a range of links to other useful organisations. Hopefully by bringing all the connections together in one place it should be easier to find the information you’re looking for.
